Back to school

The past two days have been pretty awesome. We got a chance to go into the local highschool and hold discussions in the classes. One group took an English class and the other a Religion class. Within these groups, we held discussions on perspectives of Germans from Americans and Americans from Germans. Mostly, we got to hang out with the students. After school today, we met up with a bunch of the students and played soccer. It was a lot of fun, because they play just about every day, and we suck. So it was pretty much sit back and let the Germans carry your team. Much fun.

Heard from a German MD raising funds for a new hospital near Machu Pichu, that In Germany, only about 2-5% of the people know that Jesus' tomb is empty....and WHY its empty. Although you're in a select population, see of you can verify this low understanding of Christianity in the country that first printed the Bible.

HAF to run

Brett,

If you decide to visit Budapest and it works better for you to go before I come over with the boys (July 18), Zoli said you can come stay with him, he has plenty of room. (Free place to sleep and do laundry) He is really busy with work but will help navigate you as best he can if you need it. I wouldn't have him try to fix you anything to eat but he knows where the best pastry shops are. If you end up coming to visit Budapest after I arrive, I’ll cook you something Hungarian or American. (I promise I won’t make you try to get Zander dressed or baby-sit a sick kid) I can even be a bit of a tour guide, as I won’t start working until August first. After seven years, I am so excited to rediscover my old favorite places in Hungary. Budapest is a beautiful city; they say it’s the Paris of the East!!

Let us know if you are coming via Zoli’s email steinerzoltansteiner@yahoo.com. To call his cell from Germany or any other country for that matter you have to get the international calling code to call out of the country. To call from Germany it is 00 + 36 + 1 + the last seven digits your mom gave you starting with the 439XXXX. If you lost it just email Zoli. If you are calling from any country other than Germany, I don’t know where your travels will take you, and can access the Internet, this site I found will tell you exactly what code you need to call to and from anywhere! http://www.countrycallingcodes.com/

Hope our traveling paths cross this summer, enjoy yourself and take lots of pictures.
